For over four decades, our founder of Bula Honey, Aiyoub Malawiya, was driven by a remarkable fascination: bees. His childhood wonder blossomed into a lifelong passion, leading him to establish Bula Honey in the heart of picturesque Fiji islands.
Under Aiyoub’s leadership, the farm thrived. Bula Honey earned a special place in the hearts of the Fijian community, becoming a beloved and reputable brand throughout the islands. The deep-rooted trust and appreciation from the local community are testaments to the brand’s excellence.
Following Aiyoub’s passing, Bula Honey continues to excel as a family legacy under the leadership of his son, Mahmood Malawiya who has earned a reputation for producing the award-winning quality honey.

Our honey is made using traditional beekeeping methods that have been passed down through generations. We work closely with our Fijian beekeeping family, who have an intimate knowledge of the land and the bees.
We carefully harvest the honeycomb using traditional methods before the honey is then extracted with minimal processing, preserving its natural and beneficial properties.
The story of Bula Honey begins amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant flora of Fiji. It’s here, surrounded by generations of beekeeping wisdom, that our family dreamt of sharing the island’s unique honey with the world.
Jars of our honey found their way across the miles – to the Fijian community in Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. The unique taste and also quality of Bula Honey had them hooked!
